A lifetime spent studying feng shui, art, meditation, astrology, and metaphysics — and a genuine conviction that the relationship between place, design, and human wellbeing is one of the most powerful levers available to us. MK founded The Feng Shui Practice to put that conviction to work: helping people live with more ease, more health, and more of what matters, by getting the place right.
MK Fraser is a classically trained feng shui practitioner based in Prince Edward County, Ontario. Originally trained as a designer, she has practiced feng shui for more than twenty-two years — with formal training in the lineage of Master Peter Leung's School of Chinese Metaphysics, studying with the late Master himself as well as with his students.
She received professional certification from the Feng Shui Association of Canada in 2004 and has developed a practice grounded in classical method, material honesty, and the conviction that correct positioning changes everything.
MK spent three decades as a creative executive. She brings to the practice nearly three decades of Tibetan Buddhist meditation under an internationally recognised master — a discipline she considers integral to the work, supporting a deepened capacity to observe, read, and feel a space.
The oldest branch of feng shui, concerned with the physical environment — landform, topography, water, and the relationship between a structure and its surroundings. Form School establishes whether the site itself is fundamentally supportive or problematic before any interior analysis begins.
A time-based system that maps the movement of energetic influences through a structure over 20-year periods and annual cycles. Flying Stars identifies the specific conditions operating in each sector of a property and how those conditions bear on the health, relationships, and prospects of its occupants.
Water is the most powerful activator in classical feng shui. MK works with Master Peter Leung's twenty-one closely guarded water methods — a body of knowledge rarely taught outside the lineage — to identify precise placement that directly affects the flow of prosperous energy into and through a property.
The experience, wellbeing, and long-term prosperity of a property's occupants are directly influenced by the conditions of the place they inhabit. Every engagement begins by establishing what those conditions are — and what can be done about them.
MK begins with the land itself — topography, water, surrounding structures, and the relationship between the site and its environment. The most favourable naturally occurring chi is identified before anything else.
Using the Luo Pan compass and the Chinese calendar, MK establishes the natal chart of the structure — its orientation, construction date, and the energetic map that governs how chi moves through it over time. Properties with additions or structural extensions receive separate charts for each phase of construction.
Drawing on the Chinese astrology of the owners and occupants, MK cross-references the property's energetic conditions against the specific needs and vulnerabilities of the people who live there.
Recommendations address exterior features, interior arrangement, material and colour choices by sector, and water placement — all derived from the classical analysis. They use what is already on the site wherever possible. No arcane objects. No belief required.
MK follows every engagement with a call to discuss implementation and outcomes. The work does not end with the report.
"Nearly three decades of Tibetan Buddhist meditation practice supports a deepened ability to observe and feel a space — to read what the numbers confirm."
Feng shui is one of the eight branches of Chinese medicine. It is a technical system. But technical rigour and perceptual sensitivity are not in conflict — they compound. MK's meditation practice, undertaken under an internationally recognised master, is not separate from her work as a practitioner. It informs the quality of attention she brings to every site.
This ancient environmental science restores balance and creates natural ease. The methods are verifiable. The results speak for themselves.
The practice takes on a limited number of engagements each year. Enquiries are welcome from residential and architectural clients in Prince Edward County, the GTA, and worldwide.
